"I've come to Prima for lip fillers, Botox, and a peel. Every single person in the office has been so friendly and accommodating! My first visit was for Juvederm and Botox, and they wrapped it in to a package which actually helped me save around $100. They also accept CareCredit, so great for finance options! I really love the nurses in the office, as well as Dr. Zwiren! He was nice enough to see me last minute to check on my fillers after getting them done when I was panicking about a lump. I'm definitely going to continue coming to Prima for my treatments. The office is clean, staff is friendly, and pricing is competitive."- C.K. / Yelp / Oct 08, 2018

What to Expect
Juvéderm is a gel substance that is administered via a fine needle directly into the skin. The usual level of injection is the dermis. Most patients are more comfortable after a topical anestheic is applied. The product has powdered lidocaine in it so along with the topical anesthetic most patients tolerate the procedure well. Our plastic surgeons will carefully evaluate your face and define the areas of your concern. We will discuss how soft tissue fillers fit into the overall for facial rejuvenation. Whle you are looking in a mirror we will mark out the areas for injection. Once the filler is injected, results are immediately noticeable. It is important to understand that Juvederm works by attracting moisture to the area. The area may be lightly massaged following the injection to avoid any lumps or irregularities. Other than temporary redness, the treatment has no after effect that will prevent a patient from going back to normal routine. Patients should avoid strenuous exercise for approximately 24 hours. After a properly placed Juvéderm injection, the face will look refreshed, softer and smoother.

This procedure is almost pain-free. This really is determined on a patient’s overall pain tolerance. The product is administered with a fine injection needle and a numbing cream is usually applied first to help with any discomfort. After the treatment, tingling sensations may occur, and there could be some swelling and bruising. These after effects are temporary and usually subside within a few hours.
Dermal fillers have an outstanding track record for successfully reducing signs of aging with less risk than surgical cosmetic treatments. Other nonsurgical options include wrinkle relaxers, such as BOTOX and Dysport. Severe cosmetic issues such as loose and sagging skin may be better resolved by a surgical facelift. The approach taken will be based on the patient’s cosmetic condition and aesthetic goals.
Back to 20?
It is important to set realistic expectations when undergoing any cosmetic enhancement procedure. While the treatment does take years off the face, it can only do so much for patients who have severe wrinkles and skin irregularities. Juvéderm will definitely help decrease fine wrinkles and creases, and the skin will appear smoother and softer.
