REVIEW OF THE CASE
This patient had a significant reduction of over a 1000 grams per breasts as well as excessive length to her breasts and asymmetry. Sometimes the length of the breast would suggest that a free nipple graft (FNG) is indicated. I am moving away from FNG when feasible because the aesthetic outcome in my opinion is poor. I am able to maintain the health of th nipple using a a superior medial pedicle (location of breast tissue that remains and the nipple sits on to maintain circulation). This enhnaces the aesthetic result. The use of the anchor incision gives me access for aggressive removal of tissue when needed and is a powerful incision to use to achieve a lift.
